K2 Joomla Content management
K2 is an popular content management component for Joomla. K2 has similar features to the very successful CCK Joomla component. The look and feel of any K2 powered website is limited only by your imagination.
It provides many great features and fields that are not provided by the standard joomla article system. K2 can provide any article with additional fields for images, video, image galleries and attachments. There is also a much more simple category system that allows you to create nested-level categories. Within each K2 article you can add tags and comments. The feature that I love the most is the front-end editing, that gives you full control over what a user can add or edit and exactly where you want the user to be able to add content.
There is a great K2 community with a very active forum so any troubleshooting or integration issues can be answered quickly. Within the community there is always new ideas about different features being discussed.
The K2 component has been downloaded more than 200,000 times in less than a year and I can see why. I would highly recommend this component for anyone with a joomla powered website. I will be using this component again and think that the team at K2 have done a great job in creating a content management system that has all the must have features that should be standard in any out-of-the-box joomla component, keep up the great work.
